CareQuest Institute to Host Webinar on Prevention of Hospital-Acquired Pneumonia

by adminjay

CareQuest Institute for Oral Health is hosting a webinar on the connection between a healthy mouth and the prevention of non-ventilator hospital-acquired pneumonia (NVHAP).

There’s an emerging body of evidence associating the use of comprehensive oral care with a reduction in NVHAP, which occurs in about 1 out of every 100 hospitalized patients and is associated with longer hospital stays, hospital readmissions, and increased health care costs.

During this webinar, a panel of experts will share their personal experiences, the latest research, and practical guidance on how to integrate oral care into overall care. They’ll also explore the unique and critical role oral health care providers can play in a hospital setting.
