The chief dental officer for England will host a second webinar aimed at answering questions on dentistry and coronavirus.
England’s CDO Sara Hurley and director of primary care and system transformation, Matt Neligan, will go live to discuss the state of dentistry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dental professionals are encouraged to tune in for the 45 minute session on Friday, 24 April from 4 – 4:45pm.
Questions and comments can be submitted on the day via the chat function.
This follows the first coronavirus webinar that was hosted by the pair three weeks ago.
CDO exclusive interview
Sara Hurley also spoke out to the industry this week in an exclusive interview with dentistry.co.uk.
Speaking about topics from UDC coverage to her absence on social media, she said that they will review and lift public health measures in line with evidence-based guidance.
She said: ‘We will predicate the timing for resumption of all dental services on government decisions.
‘It will only be possible when it is safe for patients and healthcare workers to do so.
‘We will consult with regulatory and professional representative bodies together with leads for public health to determine when we can restore ‘normal’ dental appointment scheduling and surgery arrangements.’
