The Chicago Dental Society (CDS) announced on Sep. 9 the release of its speaker lineup for the upcoming milestone 160th Midwinter Meeting, taking place February 20 – 22, 2025, at Chicago’s McCormick Place West. The 2025 Midwinter Meeting scientific program, now accessible at CDS.org/mwm, features 159 speakers offering more than 240 courses, including 46 hands-on workshops and 34 free courses.

New to the scientific program this year is a collaboration with the Pankey Institute, a renowned and respected dental education and professional development institution, to provide a transformative three-day course for attendees. The course will run from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day of the meeting and provide attendees with 24 hours of continuing education. Designed for early career and experienced dentists, the curriculum is centered on aesthetics, occlusion, restorative techniques, biological considerations and patient-centered care. More information on this three-day course will be available at CDS.org/mwm and in the Preliminary Program.

“As the respected leader in dental continuing education, the CDS team carefully crafts a scientific program unlike any other in the industry, from practice management and new patient care techniques to up-and-coming topics like artificial intelligence,” said 2025 CDS President Dr. Denise Hale. “The result is that attendees have unmatched access to the best minds and top names in the industry all in one convenient location, and you can build an education program that serves your needs.”

Every year, the Midwinter Meeting attracts tens of thousands of attendees from around the globe and is renowned for its scientific program. The annual event delivers hundreds of premium continuing education opportunities for dental professionals of all backgrounds, from general dentists to specialists to hygienists to office staff. The 160th Midwinter Meeting will once again be a one-stop-shop for best-in-class continuing education opportunities for every member of the dental team. The Midwinter Meeting scientific program features courses and workshops on a wide variety of topics including social media, practice management, patient care best practices, new surgical techniques, CPR, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, implants, cybersecurity, hygiene, auxiliary, staff training, artificial intelligence, lasers, restorative dentistry, sleep medicine and more.

“One core focus of the Chicago Dental Society is to provide world-class continuing education opportunities for our members and Midwinter Meeting attendees,” said CDS Director of Scientific Programs Dr. Cheryl Mora. “Our CDS team dedicates significant time to scouting and researching speakers to ensure the best minds are featured at the Midwinter Meeting. A key part of this process is also identifying the next generation of speakers, and we’re very excited to welcome more than 70 new, up-and-coming speakers who will be joining us this February for the 160th Midwinter Meeting.”

Returning to the Midwinter Meeting this year is the Windy City Emerging Speaker Program, offering up-and-coming speakers from across the United States and Canada the opportunity to present at a renowned dental meeting. 16 Windy City Emerging speakers will debut at the 2025 event.
