Far too often throughout history, and in far too many countries today, the lives of millions are brutally affected by the imperialistic ambitions of the few.
Across our network, too many of our colleagues, neighbours and loved ones know firsthand the pain and suffering of fleeing war-torn nations, something that is now being felt by millions of Ukrainians, victimized by an unjust war. We know the cost of war reverberates far beyond borders, cultures and livelihoods.
As Canadians, and as a network passionate about our shared values, we cannot and will not sit idly by. We stand with Ukraine.
To that end, dentalcorp has committed to match up to $50,000 in dental community donations made to the following two non-profit organizations providing Ukrainian humanitarian refugee and relief support. Our senior leadership team has made personal donations totaling $10,000 and we’re encouraging the dental community at large to join us in our support.
Many of our senior leaders also personally donate to similar humanitarian causes around the world and we encourage you to do the same.

- Canadian Red Cross Ukrainian relief fund: Right now, in addition to dentalcorp’s match of your donation, Global Affairs Canada will also match every donation made by individual Canadians to the Canadian Red Cross between February 24, 2022, and March 18, 2022, up to a maximum of $10 million (CAD). Donations will support those impacted by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
- UNHCR of Canada: The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), also known as the UN Refugee Agency, is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people. UNHCR works to ensure that everyone who has fled violence, war, disaster or persecution has the right to seek asylum and find refuge. UNHCR provides shelter, food, water, medical care and other life-saving assistance to refugees around the world.
