In the latest Dentips, Nicola Gore presents her tip of using a composite heater to make the experience more comfortable for the patient and make it easier to apply.
Nicola Gore qualified from Guy’s and St Thomas’s Dental Hospital in 1993. She takes pride in keeping up to date with the latest advances in technology in the field of dentistry by being a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) and British Society of Prosthetic Dentistry.
Since qualifying, Nicola has worked in general practice both in the UK and Australia as well as held various senior house officer posts in hospitals in the UK.
Within dentistry, Nicola takes her role in helping young dentists very seriously and this has kept her going as a dental foundation trainer for young graduates since 2004.
Teaching is Nicola’s passion and she has lectured for various dental academies.
Nicola’s pride has been publishing and co-authoring her first dental textbook: ‘Dentistry in a Nutshell‘. She is currently the president of the British Iranian Dental Association, and enjoys connecting and engaging with people.
Nicola’s major interests are cosmetic dentistry, implants, and facial rejuvenation. She continuously keeps up to date on new developments in dentistry by attending regular external courses and seminars. Nicola prides herself in supporting the young generation of dentists. She is very open to them observing her at work. Also, training them on good communication skills, treatment planning and providing sound dentistry.
