by adminjay

The dental profession is being called upon to take part new charity cycle challenge that would take riders through the hills of the Peak District.

Kicked off by Mydentist, the Open Ride 2022 invites clinicians and colleagues from across dentistry to take part to raise funds for Dementia UK and Bridge2Aid.

Taking place on Sunday 22 May 2022 in the hills of the Peak District, participants will setoff from Hassop Station in Bakewell. Riders will have a choice of either a 50km or 100km distance, or a more gentle beginners ride of 16km on the Monsall Trail.

The event is open to all. There is no fee to take part but cyclists are encouraged to get sponsored or make their own donation to help raise as much money as possible.

Among those already signed up are Tom Riall, the chief executive of Mydentist, and Nick Marston, director of private and specialist.

Any for those who cannot make it, Mydentist is encouraging to complete the distance at home – either through the local area or on a stationary bike.

All funds raised through the Open Ride will be split equally to support both charities’ work.
