Dentsply Sirona’s Miles for Smiles 2024 Fundraiser Event Raises More Than £15,000 for Dentaid The Dental Charity

In July, Dentsply Sirona, the world’s largest manufacturer of high-quality dental products and technologies, raised more than £15,000 for Dentaid, The Dental Charity, through its third annual Miles for Smiles charity walk. Dentsply Sirona invited dental professionals, employees, partners, friends, and family members in the UK to participate in a 13-mile walk (20.92 km). More than 100 participants took part in this year’s fundraising event.

This Year’s Highlights

All funds raised through participant registrations and voluntary donations will be used by Dentaid, The Dental Charity, to help children and adults with limited access to dental care maintain their oral health.

“It was amazing to see once again how people came together and went above and beyond, joining our Miles for Smiles walk and giving time and money to help others. We are delighted by the amount we were able to raise together, and we would like to thank everyone who participated and supported this worthy cause,” said Christof Bissdorf, GVP, General Manager UKINOR and EMEA Connected Technology at Dentsply Sirona. “With the donations raised, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of many in the UK and Ireland who would otherwise lack sufficient dental care.”

Part of a Global Commitment: Miles for Smiles Raises More Than £52,500 Over the Last Three Years

The UK initiative, Miles for Smiles, contributes to Dentsply Sirona’s commitment to helping people around the world achieve access to oral health. Over the last three years, Miles for Smiles has raised a total of more than £52,500. The Miles for Smiles charity walk embodies the shared values of Dentsply Sirona and Dentaid, The Dental Charity, in giving back healthy smiles to those in need. This guiding principle is also embedded in Dentsply Sirona’s sustainability strategy, “BEYOND: Taking Action for a Brighter World.” Recently named one of America’s Greenest Companies by the news magazine Newsweek, Dentsply Sirona is committed to driving sustainability as a fundamental part of its strategy to transform dentistry and improve oral health globally.
