Dental professionals across England can have their coronavirus questions answered following the launch of a crisis-focused webinar.
Chief dental officer for England, Sara Hurley, and the director of primary care and systems transformation, Matt Neligan, will host a COVID-19 webinar aimed at the dental industry.
Taking place on Friday 3 April at 5pm, participants will be able to submit their comments and questions regarding dental services in the face of the virus.
The webinar will also be recorded and uploaded to the NHS England website.
Additionally, dental professionals are being urged to sign up for the primary care bulletin.
This covers all updated guidance and information published for dental, general practice, pharmacy and optical.
Pleas for volunteers
Dr Hurley is also calling on dental teams to volunteer to assist frontline NHS efforts.
In her latest changes, she encouraged the industry to respond to local and national calls for help.
This includes redeployment to the new Nightingale Hospital that is being set up in London to lessen the service impact of COVID-19.
In a bid to maximise the efforts of volunteers, Dr Hurley has issued a survey to help with the production of an effective redeployment framework.
This will take into consideration the skills and competencies of those signing up.
The webinar place will take place on Friday 3 April at 5pm.
