Professor West will give an explanation of the new periodontal treatment guidelines and what it means in clinical practice. Her presentation will then explain the process of consensus for the guideline paper. As well as the rationale behind the 62 recommendations.

More about Professor Nicola West
Professor Nicola West is professor of restorative dentistry (periodontology) and director of the dental clinical trials unit at the School of Oral and Dental Sciences, University of Bristol.
Professor West regularly lectures internationally on her research. She is the postgraduate tutor for the British Society of Periodontology for the south west of England. And she also chairs the school’s Dental Education Committee, and is a committee member of the BSI British Standards, UK National Standards Body (NSB).
Professor West is also involved in developing guidelines on peri-implantitis for the UK, as part of the Association of Dental Implantology.
