We’re wrapping up our 2021 Lifeline Heroes Challenge and we’re proud to have raised $270,000 to help more than 1,100 veterans in need.
We’re so grateful for the early support of our dental industry heroes — everyone from large corporations pledging to match donations and even small groups of friends and families — all of these individuals and businesses are making comprehensive dental care more accessible to veterans in need.
Did you know that the Veterans Administration is only able to provide dental care to about 3% of veterans? This leaves millions of servicemen and servicewomen without access to dental coverage. Dental Lifeline Network – and our network of heroes – have truly stepped up to the plate to fill this gap.
Heroes, like Andrew McKellar, who organized a charity boat race in memory of Dr. Loren Feldner, a dentist, and supporter of veterans [link to article on boat race]. With the simple act of gathering for a good cause, Andrew and fellow event attendees were able to raise nearly $6,000 for the Lifeline Heroes Challenge in honor of their friend.
Thanks to their generosity, we are able to connect even more veterans with volunteer dentists who have agreed to donate their services to help our military veterans.
