Dental Lifeline Network is thrilled to welcome Dr. Steve Geiermann and Kellye Michelle Nardi to the National Board of Directors.

Dr. Geiermann recently retired from his position as a senior manager at the American Dental Association where he worked to encourage public and private collaboration among dentists working in the private sector, those working in community-based settings and with other oral health stakeholders. A University of Michigan School of Dentistry graduate, he has been a licensed dentist for 40 years and has served as the DLN ADA staff liaison for eight years.

“As the ADA staff liaison, I saw the challenges of balancing the oral health needs of those DLN seeks to serve with the limited capacity of volunteers,” said Geiermann. “I believe I have something to add to overall competencies of the board with my expertise and experience as a clinician working primarily in the public sector.”

Although retired from practice, Dr. Geiermann is still active in promoting oral health as integral to overall health. He brings an abundance of experience and passion for serving those in need. His board service experience includes the National Network for Oral Health Access, Oral Health Progress and Equity Network, Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention, Dental Patient Safety Foundation, American Institute of Dental Public Health, Heartland Men’s Chorus and Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus.

During his professional career, he spent 24 years as a U.S. Public Health Service dental officer in the Indian Health Service and Federally Qualified Health Centers, 10 years as a HRSA regional dental consultant for the Upper Midwest, and served as a National Health Service Corps and HIV/AIDS project officer helping to address the health care needs of the underserved.

Kellye is currently the Head of Dental Networks, Group Benefits for the Guardian Life Insurance Companies of America. In this position, she is a key member of the leadership team accountable for driving the continued growth of Guardian’s dental products by maximizing the competitive strength of its dental networks. She has a deep and broad range of dental industry knowledge, business development, strategic planning and leadership having spent more than 30 years in the dental and health care industries. Kellye has also served as a founding board member of Gilda’s Club, a psychosocial support community focused on cancer support, and as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and National Association of Dental Plans.

Kellye joined the board in the fall of 2022 and is passionate about working with DLN.

“I would like to utilize my professional career to provide opportunities to give back in a field I am passionate about and committed to through the ability to drive expansion of access to care for those that need it most,” said Nardi.
