Word of Mouth: April 2019

by adminjay

Preparations for National Smile Month are in full swing and we greatly look forward to the campaign commencing in May.

We believe that together, we can make a big difference over the course of the campaign and this is a sentiment echoed by Dr Nigel Carter OBE, Chief Executive of the Oral Health Foundation.

We sat down with him to discuss why National Smile Month is such an important part of the year for our charity and how you can get involved with spreading positive oral health messages.

In other news, a new piece of research has revealed that elderly members of society that suffer from impaired mobility are much more likely to develop oral health problems.

Finally, in this edition we also touch on the return of our Nominate a Smile competition, a visit to the University of Dundee to present an award to their fantastic dental students and we give our top oral health tips for people with complex needs.
