There is only one place to start this October edition – Mouth Cancer Action Month.
Our annual campaign to raise awareness of mouth cancer starts in November and we need your support. Every year, countless lives are affected by this disease, yet awareness remains very low. Many are unaware of the important information regarding mouth cancer. This is exactly what Mouth Cancer Action Month aims to address.
We celebrated the launch of the campaign at the House of Commons. It was a fantastic experience that we shared with 40 other organisations who are all also passionate about the importance of spreading mouth cancer information.
Blue Wednesday and the Blue Ribbon Appeal are both making a return for the campaign this November and provide easy ways for you to show your support for the campaign.
Also in October’s edition, you will be able to read about how a brave dentist and daughter duo managed to successfully climb Mount Kilimanjaro earlier this month to raise awareness of mouth cancer.
You will also be able to learn more about why mouthguards are so important when it comes to contact sports, and interesting new research on regenerating teeth.
Finally, we also touch on how to get the most out of your campaign events.
