Elite Learning Launches DEA MATE Act Course for Healthcare Practitioners

by adminjay

Elite Learning, a leading provider of nationwide healthcare continuing education, is delighted to introduce its 8-hour DEA MATE Act course, specifically tailored for DEA-registered practitioners. This course is designed to assist practitioners in fulfilling the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) new requirement outlined in the Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act, presented in a self-paced and convenient format.

New 8-hour course helps physicians and dentists meet new DEA requirements.

The MATE Act mandates that all DEA-registered practitioners, excluding sole veterinarians, undergo eight hours of training focused on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders. Since June 2023, practitioners have been obligated to report the completion of this requirement on their DEA registration or during their regularly scheduled education renewal. Every DEA-registered practitioner is required to affirm completion of the 8-hour substance use training by checking a designated box on their DEA registration form.

Elite Learning’s course is an online, self-paced program tailored for physicians, physician assistants, pharmacists, dentists, and advanced practice nurses. Its primary objective is to equip practitioners with the essential knowledge and skills to adeptly treat and manage patients dealing with opioid or other substance use disorders.

“We are proud to offer this course to help practitioners meet the DEA’s new requirement,” said Renee Altier, president of Colibri Healthcare. “We recognize that healthcare professionals often face high levels of stress and long working hours, so our goal is to provide an affordable and convenient option so they can stay compliant without having to take time away from their practice.”

Elite Learning’s 8-hour DEA MATE Act course is available now for purchase. Practitioners can purchase and complete the course to fulfill this new requirement. For more information, please visit our website and review our 8-hour DEA Mate Act Training.
