90 seconds with…Veerinder Singh Nazran

by adminjay

We speak to Veerinder Singh Nazran about how he entered the dentistry profession and where he sees it going in the future.

Introduce yourself…

My name is Veerinder, I’m a cosmetic dentist with a special interest in dental implants and facial aesthetics.

Back at college I initially wanted to do medicine but I thought the career path was going to be too long. So, long story short I chose dentistry and then developed a keen fascination of cosmetic dentistry and implants. I’ve never looked back since then. I absolutely love my job.

What do you do in your spare time?

I do a lot of heavyweight lifting and meditation.

If you know me quite well you’ll know I love getting abroad to Dubai. It’s just my chill out area and I get to spend a lot more quality time with my family.

Where do you think dentistry is going in the future?

I think the future of dentistry is going to be a lot more digital.

A lot of us will be using our VR headsets for consultations.

Ten to twenty years time, I can see a lot of this happening in the future where we’ll see robot dentists, robot receptionists, robot surgeons being controlled by the Metaverse and headsets. You never know!

What are your ambitions for the future?

I have a keen fascination with learning. I’m always learning, I’m always going on courses – I’m always just learning to be the best I can be.

I’ve instilled inside of me that if you learn more, you can be more, do more, have more. But also you can give back more to patients and society.
